The lake ripples, the sails round, and the scent of water becomes intense. The Gardesana is the wind that blows over the Gulf of Garda after every sunset. And if “going out” with the first lights of the evening offers an evocative experience that connects with the beauty of the lake, during the day the emotions are amplified thanks to the winds: the Pel\u00e8r, which blows in the morning from the north, and the Ora, which rises from the south in the afternoon. These winds enliven the days of sailors of all ages, who venture onto the lake’s waters on optimists, dinghies and cabin cruisers, learning the secrets of sailing through courses and activities offered by the Garda Section of the Italian Naval League.

Sailing in Garda’s waters provides suggestions and comfortable feelings on board even for sailing beginners because the wind is constant and does not reach the intensity of the upper lake. But if you want to experience an adrenaline rush, the race course is not far away because you only need to round Punta San Vigilio.
