The beaches of Garda, where the water is bluer
Beaches admin Marzo 6, 2024

The beaches of Garda are ideal places to regenerate and reconnect with time and nature. Small, smooth white pebbles, the clearness of the water, variations of blue and olive trees reminiscent of the Mediterranean coastline.

Whether the summer breeze blows or the sun warms the autumn, the microclimate of Italy’s largest lake cools summer afternoons and softens colder days, extending the season for sunbathing and open-water swimming.

The Al Corno Beach.

From the centre of Garda one can easily reach the Al Corno beach by walking ten minutes from the marina. A white pebble beach surrounded by the green gulf of Garda that stretches for 4 km to Punta San Vigilio. The first section of the beach is delimited by buoys, allowing swimmers to swim safely and open water athletes to train along a 700-metre linear course.

There are bar and restaurant facilities directly on the beach, as well as an SUP rental.

La Cavalla beach.

Below the Rocca fortress is the La Cavalla free beach, where you can rent deckchairs and beach umbrellas and leisurely enjoy the lake. At sunset, the DJ set of the La Motta bar enlivens the evening while drinks can be enjoyed on the beach or directly on the water, as it offers a landing for boats. For those who want a more relaxed atmosphere, the Cavalla Beach bar, along the promenade, offers the best spot to admire the sun hiding behind Punta San Vigilio.

Lido

If you want to be a stone’s throw from the historic town, there is the Lido, a small free beach where you can relax without straying too far from the heart of Garda. At the Lido you can enjoy a dip, sunbathe on a deckchair and wait for the sunset while sipping your favourite drink. Next to the Lido is the Lega Navale Italiana Sezione Garda, where you can take sailing lessons or rent kayaks to admire the gulf on the water.

Cala delle Sirene (Cove of the Sirens).

At Punta San Vigilio, amidst the emerald blue of the lake and fiery red sunsets, lies the Cala delle Sirene. Entrance to the beach is paid and there is limited access to avoid overcrowding and to ensure true moments of relaxation. The Cala delle Sirene is a bay from which to enjoy the most impressive viewpoint of Lake Garda. One can stretch out alone or with friends, on sun loungers and under spacious cabanas to spend summer days in company. Not only that, under the beach umbrella or in the shade of the trees, you can enjoy tasty delicacies and use the tender bar at all times of the day, from breakfast to dinner. The beach has free parking.

Baia delle Sirene (Bay of the Sirens)

On the northernmost tip of San Vigilio is the paid beach, Baia delle Sirene, an inlet surrounded by greenery facing west, where the only noise you will hear is the cicadas. The beach offers sunbeds in the shade of the olive grove and a bar for lunch or a drink at sunset. The beach has a large, shaded paid parking area.
